It’s Your World: Eat It!

‘It’s Your World: Eat It’ is a slogan used to promote the Pac-Man video game franchise, now celebrating its 35th anniversary.   The title of the legendary game of ghost chain gobbling, mazes and frantic action features in the #EarthInCrisis list drawn up by Ben Whittenbury in The Earth Emperor’s Eye.  It’s symbolic of the human race consuming the Earth’s limited resources at a crazy pace.

It’s curious then that the Pac-Man has made the silver screen, with the movie’s makers declaring “it’s game on or game over! When aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth in the form of the video games. Watch as the arcaders seek to save Earth!”

Here’s the trailer.
