A hoard of nuts collected by a squirrel has been discovered under a Honda Civic’s bonnet. The mechanic who found the hoard in the car’s air filter was astounded, saying, “they were crammed in really tight. I’ve not seen anything like it in 18 years of service.”
Its thought the animal took the nuts from a bird table in a Gloustershire garden. The owner took the car to the garage in Kemble in the Cotswolds after it struggled to go beyond 40mph.
Honda is the world’s largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines, producing more than 14 million each year. Given the role of squirrels and peanuts in The Earth Emperor’s Eye, perhaps this is a hidden message for the modern world?
